Murder Mystery-Chapter 10:

Murder is always having a mystery behind it... Previously on Murder Mystery: Samaera was found  dead  while Sahil was found negotiating with someone in a  dark alley . Samaera's  post mortem  was going on while media was busy speculating about the murder. Sahil was in   a  big problem  and Ratan was trying desperately to prove Sahil as a  murderer . Mishra Ji get's the  report . Sahil makes a  big announcement  and so does the  police department . Sahil talks to  Tanushree  about something. ******* Sahil entered his apartment. Though it was cleaned after the investigation was completed at his once called home, he could still smell Samaera’s fragrance in the hall. He threw his coat on the sofa, tossed his shoes in the air and went straight to the mini bar. The bar was nothing short of extravagance. The top brands decorated the shelf, and the crystal clear glasses hung upside down over the to...

JalliKattu-Here’s what you should know about it:

Image
Though the big debate started recently, but actually this beautiful (I should refrain from using this word) sport has bearing with the time of Indus Valley civilisation. A seal was found, preserved in Delhi Museum, depicting a bullfighting practice prevalent during that time. Someone would have tried taming a high on testosterone, wild and running bull by pulling it, holding its hump and would have succeeded. People must have had got a kind of adrenaline rush and soon it became a competition. A friendly (again let’s refrain) competition with a name “Eru Thazuvuthal”, meaning “Hugging the bull” (That’s why I used the words beautiful and friendly). During the era of Nayak kings, this competition took reached a new level, where the king used to pack gold coins in a cloth and this cloth was tied to bull’s horn. This bull then used to enter an arena through a makeshift entrance gate “Vaadi Vaasal”. The one who get hold of Bull and stopped it won the competition and thos...

Breaking news and twitter handles were flashing on the screen, debates were happening on prime time and people have started discussing the murder mystery of Samaera. Sahil entered his cabin and sat on his favourite red leathered seat, which was gifted by his wife when he celebrated his 40 th birthday. The upholstery was little torn and the seat must have...

Here’s why I hate Feminism:

Image
Feminazi- A dangerous creature living on our planet Image Courtesy: www.honeybadgerbrigade.blospot.com An article written by a friend of mine triggered this thought in my mind. When I and my friends sit together and talk about the happenings of the world; most of the time the conversation ends up on females (Ya we are authentic bachelors).  Since we are working in the corporate world we come across a hell lot of “types” of women (Not being sexist here). I have come across a lot of women who claim to be a feminist but actually are Feminazi. Earlier even I was not knowing the difference (hence the heading). The difference, you ask? Hmmm…here it is: Feminist: If you believe that man and woman should have equal rights. Then you are a feminist. You are not extreme, it’s actually cool and I support you completely. A big round of applause for you! Feminazi: Well, let’s put it in this way. You need a batsperson and not a batsman on the cricketing pitch or you want snow...

Here’s why you should wake up early

Image
Legacy is the only thing you leave behind.... A bachelor giving the advice to wake up early in the morning sounds crazy, isn’t it? You may call me one, but, I felt like sharing a secret which might be beneficial for you people; people whom I love the most. I used to crib a lot earlier that I don’t have enough time in my day and before I can even start the day ended, but now waking every morning at 5:30 has changed the way I look at my clock. So, without further ado let’s start so that I can sleep peacefully after this. All great people start their day early: There is a saying that early bird catches the worm and there might be some truth to this old adage. From the CEOs to the sportsperson everyone wakes up to knock out some tasks before people start rolling out of the bed. While the corporate leaders like sending emails, checking their news feeds and going for a long jog; sportspersons like to hit gym and ground training. Example Tim Cook wakes up at 3:45 am (Eh, th...

Mishra Ji get's the  report . Sahil makes a big announcement . ********  A press conference was lined up for the commissioner of Police, who sat uncomfortably on a chair, cushioned with the red velvet cloth. Standing behind him was Narayan, the head constable and sitting beside him was the man in charge of this case, Mishra. Media was anxiously waiting for the commissioner to speak. “Good morning everyone, we have got the reports and the reports said exactly what we thought earlier.” said the proud commissioner, as if he had solved the murder mystery. “But, what does the report ...

The bachelor’s kitchen Guide 101- Nachos Twist:

Image
Cheers! I know, you haven’t told your parents that you drink, or maybe your parents are really cool. Moreover, bachelor's pad without drinks is like a whisky peg without three cubes of ice (couldn’t come up with a better analogy). So, won’t tell you to not to drink that but surely will say drink responsibly. Now, with the drink, it’s always a question what to have something with it? A fish fingers, fried chicken or if you are vegetarian then maybe French fries or a pack of lays with tobacco sauce or cheese dip. But that’s too oily and hence unfit to support a cold beer pint or a glass of your favourite whisky (I still don’t get why people enjoying a glass of wine always have a plate of assorted cheese sticks beside the glass). Today, I will give you a nice recipe which can actually increase the quotient of your drinking will surely tantalise your taste buds. This is something I tried making once and taste amazing and hence named it ‘Nachos Twist’. The following in...

India gets its new minority:

Image
Do you pay to be a minority? Picture courtesy: national.deseretnews.com Our Income tax department is a very nice place, once in a year, they work when the fiscal calendar ends and that too they are not sweating because of workload. Here’s why: India’s income tax department, which was disowned by our beloved Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal (beloved? Seriously Mrigank!), recently came up with a report providing the glimpse of how India fared in filing income tax for the year 2012-13 (half a decade too late Sir). According to the reports, India can now officially have a new minority which can fight for quota rights in school, colleges, and public and private jobs. Since I am writing this article, I want to coin a term for them…hmmm…It’s tough, okay for the time being let’s call them-”Tax Trolled”. I tell you the reason why? The report, which I could understand through my knowledge, states that in the population of 125 crores people, around 2.87 crores people filed the income t...

Intellects should die because droughts don’t lie:

Image
Children waiting for rain to come.... courtesy: youthkiawaaz.com I read somewhere that India got a rare opportunity to have a gravitational wave detector, which was discussed in an astrophysics meet which happened in Utah, USA. It’s a moment of proud of the “literate” Indian citizen and once complete this feat will be comparable to ISRO’s Mars Mission. But, one can’t keep away from the situation which has become a norm in Maharashtra and other parts of India, where drought is like a guest, which comes untimely but never leaves and its take such a toll on the “budget” of the family that people start committing suicide or are killed because of heat stroke, when they try to fetch water for themselves from far off places. It’s a shame for a country which calls itself a republic and is ranked third biggest economy of the world. It’s a shame for a country whose Prime Minister is bringing a lot of currency to develop India and whose cash rich cricket league is the most wat...

Murder Mystery-Chapter 7:

Image
Murder is always having a mystery behind it... Previously on Murder Mystery- Mishra Ji gets the report of Samaera's murder- Chapter-06 ********** A press conference was lined up for Sahil of Samaera Enterprise, which was renamed by Sahil from Kapoor Enterprise after he had married the elder daughter of one of the most powerful business tycoon of India-the Shah. Vinit Shah was a big name in the textile industry and after his demise, it was his daughters Samaera and Sanjana, both Harvard graduates, who were filling their dad’s shoes. “Mr Kapoor sorry for your wife’s demise. But, what is your after thoughts after she is gone?” asked a reporter. Since the flashes continuously popped up and the camcorder light was too glaring; Sahil was not able to see anyone’s face. “Listen, I am here for business, not for any personal chit chat. I am in a very tight position right now, both personally and professionally and hence will request you and everyone sitting here to stic...
