Please...no more sex!

Some will say “His blog is turning towards ‘eroticism’.”  while some will say “He is just playing word game.” I will say I am neither turning you on nor playing word game, I am making you face the truth. Earlier in history Women were not allowed to step out of their home and work, but with time advancement and so called human sophistications women paved their way to schools, colleges and later to offices. The feminist started yelling “women can match with men in every damn sphere of life!” The feminist were right about what they preached and their belief and I fully support them, but that radical thinking endangered men in their own den. I have overheard many people complaining about the same. We experience this everyday in our life whether at colleges or at offices. A woman get more advantages than a man get. I state an example, which I understood while talking to a friend of mine, when he was depressed because of this. Suppose a practical exam is going on and...

The tranquillity of white

I was walking to my station in the freaking hot day after finishing one of the worst practical I ever faced. It was the first time that I was not able to convince my lecturer about what I said. I was feeling ashamed of calling myself an engineer as it is taught to us- “ If you can’t convince confuse them. ” Glucon-D hoarding was providing me the cool shelter for last five minutes as there was no sign of my vehicle, which would carry me to metro station. While waiting for my ‘wheel on palace’ (sic), my pupil sensitized my retina with a group of people carrying a dead body and chanting the name of god for the corpse soul’s peace. It was not the first time I had seen a dead body but it was the first time for my mind was feeling the pain of bad practical and could match the wavelength with it. The soreness of bad practical exam was overshadowed by their moaning. While men were chanting out loudly “Ram Naam Satya Hai” , women were crying and seeing their mother cry small kids could no...

The Exam Horror Helpline-2

In last article we discussed at time table is the first and the foremost part of time management. I got 6 emails regarding: “Hey! What should be the next step buddy?” And I was... “WOHOHO man! I never expected this type of response!”  But thanks and more importantly congratulation to those who have decided to change and set up a routine in their life. But all of those who couldn’t manage to stick to timetable need not to worry much as I have something simpler way to help you pull out more output from you. Actually, this thing will push you to do this. This is called STEP i.e. S et T arget and E njoy P roductivity. This will help you to manage your time and hence will lead you to prime goal of sticking to timetable. In this what you have to do is that you have to set a target for the day...    “   OK, today I will do operating system’s first unit and Communication system’s angle modulation.”         And after completing th...

The Exam Horror Helpline-1

While my novel writing was going through a tough time due to exams and exams and exams, my mind was having a gala time. He had everything to screw up the image of multi-semester and year back systems of engineering colleges. I was concerned with the huge syllabus and my lack of concentration towards the electronics subjects. Picking up the book and straight away hitting the road with pen and notebook was a waste of time. This was just like I was preparing for my IIT-JEE and AIEEE exams. The days are less and the burden is massive. I devised a plan so that I can acquire maximum output in least possible time. The time management has become the key to success in every field and exams are no different. Since the exams are approaching and you need a way out of this traumatic situation, so here what you have to do first... A timetable ...yes a time table is the most important part of the time management. With minimum efforts you can acquire a good percentage of output from yourse...

The asthmatic life

My internal exams were going on, but I was much more interested in the thirty first chapter I was writing for my first novel. The title is not known nor was the syllabus for any subject. For me it didn't even matter as I was already out of the ‘rat race’. I duped my mind that studying a day before exam is just like running for the flight which has already boarded. Though I have been competitive from my childhood and the word ‘losing’ never existed for me but winning for me meant EXCELLENCE before SUCCESS. I was travelling in metro rail and was as usual was busy thinking about my novel when I overheard two juniors standing next to me. Guy 1 (Head down, droplet of sweat on his forehead): “I need at least 70 percent marks to sit in for placement; otherwise my father will kill me.” Guy 2 (Taking deep breath while eyes fixed at the women’s compartment): “Ya you are damn correct buddy...what the hell man, the AC is not working in here.” Guy 1 (Showing his con...

Every'thing' does matter

The busy life was going busy and busy and busy, with our college magazine editing and interviews still pounding on our head and result’s trauma centre working really hard to revive the passion towards studies. I was completing my practical file, while my friend was busy fighting with a meek guy about opening and closing of door due to unbearable suffocation she was dealing with. Eventually that person called two friends of his as he realized he didn’t stand any chance in front of her and a well or should I say ‘over’ well build guy like me. His action forced me to shout “Hey! You are f**king Janani (A Punjabi can describe its meaning really nicely)” and before I could do anything, this statement had already ripped apart his dam of emotions. He: Hey, how dare you call me Janani?  I never called them to show you how strong my back is. I just told them that please come otherwise Mrigank will be in danger. My head was down and was listening him with a smile on m...
